Barefeet running
Across the dewy grass,
Long golden hair
Unruly and untamed
Like the girl herself.
Flowing like a mane in the wind.
She dances, and runs
As if she’s a kid again.
Barefeet tickled by
The warm ground.
Spinning, laughing
As the rays of sun
Tickle her freckled skin,
Bronzing her Shoulders.
Barefeet dangling
Over the sides of her horse
Galloping bareback across
The meadow.
Free as the wind,
Endless as the sky
Forever young.
A women, yet a child
Grown up yet Innocent.
Barefeet, dirty
Running home.
Alive, free
And in love.
Running to the family
That loves her
Friends to laugh with
Her lover to embrace her
Home,
barefeet, a summer breeze
a young women.
Free as the wind
Innocent as a flower
Sweet as a spring rain.
Barefeet.
I’ve found my home.
